Meet our teacher, Kate Bulgakova

“My name is Kate Bulgakova,

I have a master's degree in Architecture and I’ve been working as an interior designer for 15 years. I have 4 kids, and I’ve been always doing art workshops for them, then for their friends, and then for kids’ events.

Putting all these together I created an Art Backyard studio for kids, where kids learn how to draw, develop their creative thinking, learn a lot about different countries, artists and architects.

The most important thing for me is to show kids how interesting and different the world is, to encourage them to read, learn and explore the world through art. To show that a simple sketch or idea can grow into a big project. They learn to be confident, to express themselves through art and defend their ideas.”

Our space

Group of children celebrating a birthday, holding handmade paper-mâché angels, with a blackboard in the background displaying "Happy Birthday" and a large paper angel decoration hanging above.

There is a white bookshelf with colorful books and a plant on top, and a multi-panel artwork on the wall depicting buildings and scenes from Germany.

Our school space allows kids to be creative and use their imagination in decorating the walls with drawings. We have rooms for private and group classes and a mini-library with books about architecture and arts for kids. Also, we have a space for adults where you can work while waiting for kids and enjoy a cup of coffee. Welcome to ArtBackyard!
